Meet Director Joseph H. Elmont

Lafferonay Haiti Empowered School

Joseph has been with Haiti Empowered since 2010. After the devastating earthquake on January 12 2010, he gathered children struggling to attend school and coordinated psychological support through an American missionary organization, Acts of Mercy, which later partnered with Mission E4 (now Haiti Empowered).

By God's grace, Pastor Bazile, who had once been his school principal, already knew Joseph, paving the way for them to serve even more children and families.

Director Elmont shares the following message:

"I greet all who support Haiti Empowered. Your support brings me joy, and I am deeply grateful for the love you show to me and my family. Haiti Empowered is making a significant difference in the Lafferonay community. Many children here were unable to attend school, but thanks to Haiti Empowered, they now have access to education, food, and free medical care. This is a tremendous blessing for our community.

God has been our help. Without His guidance, our community might have been destroyed in recent weeks. But by His grace, we are safe, and we give thanks for His protection.

Please continue to pray for the strength of our community so we can support one another. Pray for our school to remain open, as a community without a school is a lost community. I also ask that you pray for my family’s protection.”
